November'22 Bokksu: Autumn Kouyou
It’s fall in Japan! The Autumn leaves are changing into resplendent orange, red, and brown across the country. This gorgeous shift is called kouyou. People are heading out on momijigari, or leaf-peeping trips, to catch sight of their favorite fall foliage. With the autumn comes new seasonal Japanese treats! From creamy sweet potato to smokey iburigakko, or pickled daikon radish, we’re indulging in Japan’s fall flavors through this month’s curation.

Please enjoy consuming Mikan mochi in this bokksu using the wooden skewer that holds the Mochi together! But of course, exercise caution because like a toothpick, the skewer may have a sharp point and should not be consumed along with the Mochi! Always remove the skewer if serving to a child.
