Japanese Kit Kat: Sakura
Snack with intention and support recovery efforts in Tohoku! It has been 10 years since the Great Tohoku Earthquake that devasted the Tohoku region in Japan. In memory of that event, Nestle Japan is donating 10 yen per bag to the non-profit Sakura Line 311, which plants sakura trees to memorialize those lost in the disaster. The trees also mark the point where the tsunami reached farthest inland to indicate the safety zone for future evacuations.
Support their mission, and enjoy the delicious flavor of sakura chocolate while doing so. These Kit Kats are a limited edition spring release, so get them while you can!
